NEXT GEN PPF in Action – Protecting 3 Iconic Builds for Mat Armstrong

When you’re asked to protect cars for Mat Armstrong, you know the standard has to be right. With millions watching his builds, every detail is visible, and there is nowhere to hide.
For this project, we were brought in to apply NEXT GEN PPF by Wax is Dead to three serious machines:
- Porsche 911 GT3 RS
- Ferrari 812 Superfast
- Lamborghini Gallardo
Three completely different cars, all demanding the same level of finish.

Built for Cars Like This
Each of these cars brings its own challenges.
The GT3 RS is all about sharp edges and aggressive aero.
The 812 Superfast is long, flowing, and unforgiving under light.
The Gallardo mixes curves with tight transitions.
This is where NEXT GEN PPF earns its place.
The film lays clean, stretches predictably, and holds exactly where it needs to. No unnecessary tension, no lifting edges, no fight-back during install. Just controlled, consistent behaviour across every panel.
The Finish – Where It Stands Out
The first thing you notice is the gloss.
It is deep. Wet. Uniform.
Under workshop lighting and natural daylight, the finish looks better than bare paint. That is the goal. Not just protection, but enhancement.
And the key detail:
You genuinely have to look hard to even see the film is there.
No heavy texture. No obvious edges. No dulling of the original finish. Just clarity.
On cars at this level, anything less stands out immediately. This doesn’t.
